The nine-day event at the ZLV in Duisburg is supposed to bring together the expertise and insights of different MENA countries and Europe in order to exchainge knowledge, discuss scientific, geographical, social and political obstacles within this research field and develop further plans of scientific cooperations. In pair of two days, the topics “Water”, “Energy” and “Food/Agriculture” will be highlighted by speakers from both, the MENA region and the University of Duisburg-Essen as well as further German scientists and will each day finish with a panel discussion.
